THE BULLY
I
read an article where the Senator from New Jersey Frank Lautenburg called the Governor
of New Jersey Chris Christie abusive to women and a bully. Finally!
I have felt that way since the first time I heard this jerk talk to
women. He has the power of the office
behind him, and when he doesn’t like a question he shoots his mouth off knowing
full well that the person he is attempting to bully can’t do anything about it.
More often than not the person he is rude to is a woman. I see these kinds of guys quite often. In fact there is a guy like that where I
work. He shows up very seldom, but he comes in with this arrogant attitude, and
says stupid things. He knows full well
no one can do anything about it. You don’t get respect, and you don’t deserve
respect by acting like you’re the greatest thing since sliced bread. These guys, and I am sure there are women like
that who let a little power go to their head

HERMAN CAIN
Now that Rick Perry is self-destructing, and Chris Christie
has said again that he doesn’t want to run for President, the new darling for
the right wing at the moment is Herman Cain.
I heard a Republican strategist say how great this county is because we
could have a black man running against another black man for President. I am willing to bet any amount of money that
Herman Cain will not be the Republican nominee for President. The Republicans in general will not allow this
to happen. The hatred for President Obama is so intense amongst these people
they will not want to replace him with another black man. Herman Cain can say all the right things and
do all the right things, but take my word for it, it won’t happen.

RESPECT OR LACK THERE OF
When I go on vacation I usually try and not watch or read
the news. So to my surprise I come back
and I see the right wing Republicans are starting to attack Rick Perry. I understand the man is a moron, but for the
right wing loony’s to catch on so fast is amazing. I might not have been giving them the proper
respect, but then again they still have all those other goofs running for
office and no one seems to notice. I
read a blog post from women who I have had a feud with in the past. She was a big Michelle Bachmann fan. She has come to the realization that maybe
she was wrong about her, she isn’t sure about Perry, but she sort of likes Rick
Santorum. I guess that shoots my idea of
not giving the right wing loony’s enough respect all to hell. Honestly I cannot understand these people at
all, and I hope I never do.

PAT ROBERTSON
Pat Robertson the onetime Presidential candidate and a
self-proclaimed man of God said that it is okay to divorce your spouse if she
has Alzheimer’s disease. Commenting on
the till death do you part he said Alzheimer’s is sort of like death therefore
it makes it okay to desert your spouse.
I guess maybe he was thinking of Newt Gingrich who divorced his wife on
her death bed. Now the problem comes in
when people might decide it is okay to divorce because their spouse has become paralyzed
or bed ridden with things like ALS. I
guess the theory goes that a disabled spouse isn’t worth their time so just
move on. The real sad part is this man
is supposed to be religious, but the bible he reads from must have a different
meaning when it comes to compassion love and loyalty.

CHEERING DEATH
The audience cheered when at the GOP Presidential debate the
hypothetical question about a man with no insurance being left to die. These are the same people who cheered about the
executions in Texas. These people are
sick. No matter your take on the death
penalty or anything else for that matter, to cheer is just plain sick. This is the Tea Party, or if you like the
Koch brothers at work. For a politician
to pander to these people, and the Republicans do, tells you a lot about the difference
in the parties. If they are willing to
cheer for that, what do you think they think about the rest of us? By the rest of us I mean the people who
disagree with them. I hate the analogy
about Nazi Germany, but when you have people cheering death, and seeing nothing
wrong with it as long as it’s the other person, comparisons are hard not to do.

JOBS BILL
President Obama’s jobs bill is going to Congress soon. The Republicans seem to have a different take
on this as they do with everything President Obama sends them. Eric Cantor (R-OH.) voted for spending money
in Iraq to rebuild their infrastructure, but he says he won’t vote for
rebuilding ours. I am beginning to
believe that Cantor is anti-American. He is just pro Republican. A Republican aide said why should we vote
for a jobs bill. It’s not good for our
politics. Again they put party before the country. Rick Scott the Republican
governor of Florida is already suggesting that he won’t take the money for his
state. His state by the way has an
unemployment rate higher than the national average. I am sure the people of Florida were happy to
hear that. Obama has to start going to
these bozos districts and or states and point out the things that would be
accomplished through this bill. Mitch
McConnell the Republican leader in the senate is a great example where Obama
should go, one of the major bridges in his state has had to be closed, and Mr. McConnell
should be made an example of letting his state down.

RICK PERRY AND DEATH
Rick Perry’s smugness when answering the question about
whether he lost any sleep over the executions he has authorized shows me this
man is not fit to be President or even dog catcher. Any rational person would
or should agonize a little that he possibly put an innocent person to death.
People like him and the people who applaud him never take into consideration
that maybe one of those people might be one of their relatives. There are so many of the so-called guilty
that have been proven innocent in the last few years. How can you be so smug and say all of those
people were definitely guilty. I for one
am not completely against the death penalty.
Still if I was the Governor of any state I would want to make sure as much
as possible that there was no question about the person’s guilt. Anyone that has been involved with or taken
part in any criminal trials should know there is so much that is not exactly on the up
and up. All prosecutors are not honest
they have the win at all costs mentality.
Many of the so-called experts will say anything to make a buck, and some
of them have been found to be fabricating evidence even in death penalty cases.
Eye-witness evidence is proven not to be all that reliable. Rick Perry and people who have the power
should agonize a little; it shouldn’t be easy to put someone to death.

CRACKPOTS
All you have to do is listen to the Republicans talk or
watch what they do or don’t do. I know
there must be responsible Republicans, but they are becoming rarer and rarer. If you listen to their debates or just watch their
actions you have to come to the realization these people are intent on bring
down the United States as we know it.
They block everything in congress; they don’t want to attend the President’s
speech tonight. You have most of the candidates
trying to do away with almost all Government programs. They see no need for them. They do have one thing in common. Let’s give all the money to businesses while
at the same time doing away with all regulations that keep them somewhat under
control. They don’t believe in science.
They sure as hell don’t care anything about the people in this country that
aren’t rich. You have the goof from
Texas bragging about all the people he has put to death. Doesn’t bother him if he has put an innocent
man to death. So much for God fearing as
he claims to be. They want to do away with the department of education. Why?
Well let’s see that means they can press their religious agenda, the
hell with the Constitution. Republicans
in general want to do away with the things that make the life of middle class
people in this country tolerable. Why
shouldn’t they in their minds they don’t use the public schools, they only eat
the best food, they drink only bottled water. Facts to these people do not
matter. In their minds if something doesn’t agree with their warped sense of
reality it can’t be true. All you have
to do is watch Fox to prove me out. Hopefully the people are going to stand up
for themselves come election time and kick these bozos out of office before it
is too late.

ARE UNIONS EVIL
This was a headline in the Duluth News Tribune.
This was my response.
This was my response.
Are unions evil was a recent headline in your
newspaper. First, there was no need for
that kind of pejorative headline. The
man you had argue that unions were evil was sadly misinformed. He used terms like “infiltrate and termites” to
characterize unions. This is a childish
way to denigrate unions. He pays the
obligatory compliment to unions. “When unions were first created there was a
need for them.” What’s changed to make
them unneeded? We have managers and
supervisors who try and bully and intimate employees today, and terminate
employees on species charges. In fact
most of his argument makes the case for unions.
In his opinion, He states unions are the no. 1 reason companies have
gone overseas. The reason companies go
overseas is so they can exploit workers where there are no unions to protect
them. Why do you think that pro-business
politicians are trying to do away with OSHA AND NLRB or rescind minimum wage
laws? In fact there are politicians and businesses trying to do away with child
labor laws. Mr. Jamail I’m sure would
try and spin these things as trying to help businesses.
His other premise is that unions protect bad employees. All unions do is to make sure that there is
due process. He suggested union
employees are lazy and non-productive. I would have liked to have proof of that
statement. Lastly this old argument that unions thrive on conflict or want
companies to fail is possibly one of the more stupid things that I have
heard. Most union decisions are local
and voted on by the membership. One of several things Mr. Jamail doesn’t
understand is that the job is our livelihood. We have just as much desire to
have a safe and profitable place to work as the company.
