This is excerpts of a memo that was written by Citigroup a few years ago. This is the same Citigroup that was recently bailed out to the tune of 45 billion dollars by the Government.
The memo was entitled Plutomony which is really a made up word that means that the majority of the wealth is controlled by an ever-shrinking minority; as such the economic growth of that society becomes dependent on the fortunes of that same wealthy minority.
Here are some of the following excerpts.
`If we are right, that the rich are going to keep getting richer over the coming years Despite being in great shape, we think that global capitalists are going to be getting an even greater share of the wealth pie over the next few years, as capitalists benefit disproportionately from globalization and the productivity boom, at the relative expense of labor. For the poorest in society, high gas and petrol prices are a problem. But while they are many in number, they are few in spending power, and their economic influence is just not important enough to offset the economic confidence, well-being and spending of the rich. We expect the global pool of labor in developing economies to keep wage inflation in check, and profit margins rising – good for the wealth of capitalists, relatively bad for developed market unskilled/outsource-able labor. This bodes well for companies selling to or servicing the rich.
Our whole plutonomy thesis is based on the idea that the rich will keep getting richer. This thesis is not without its risks. For example, a policy error leading to asset deflation, would likely damage plutonomy. Furthermore, the rising wealth gap between the rich and poor will
probably at some point lead to a political backlash. Whilst the rich are getting a greater share of the wealth, and the poor a lesser share, political enfranchisement remains as was – one person, one vote. At some point it is likely that labor will fight back against the rising profit share of the rich and there will be a political backlash against the rising wealth of the rich. This could be felt through higher taxation (on the rich or indirectly though higher corporate taxes/regulation) or through trying to protect indigenous laborers, in a push-back on globalization – either anti-immigration, or protectionism. We don’t see this happening yet, though there are signs of rising political tensions.
As many of you know that there has been a coordinated attack in several states attacking labor and trying to make voting more difficult. As you can see by reading this memo that’s the two things that the wealthy are worried about. Unlike most of us they are not standing by and doing nothing, they are attacking us. If you want your life or your children’s lives to be of a higher quality and more fulfilling than yours maybe you should stop standing around doing nothing and take action.

RECALL PETITION
Over the Thanksgiving holiday I had the opportunity to sign
the recall petition to get rid of Scott Walker the anti-labor, anti-environment,
and anti-education Governor of Wisconsin.
I have stated in the past that the GOP does not care one bit about this
country other than what they can use and throw away to serve their own
interests. Walker kowtows to any business group and will do anything for them
regardless of how is hurts the people of his state. As of today the recall
group claims to have at least 300,000 signatures. They need at least 700,000 in
my opinion to get the required 540,000.
If you live in Wisconsin and haven’t signed the petition, what are you
waiting for?

NOT HIRING
A
business owner in western Georgia instituted a new company policy recently: “We
are not hiring until Obama is gone.” Bill Looman owner of U.S. Cranes LLC is
putting signs on all his trucks stating he isn’t hiring until Obama is
gone. This is his right, but this clown
is nuts and thinks Obama is the cause of everything that is wrong in his life.
His Facebook page has anti-Muslim and pro confederacy sayings on it; he buys
into every nutty conspiracy theory about Obama. He claims he needs to hire
people but he won’t because of President Obama’s policies. This guy is a moron for the simple reason
small businesses are eligible for all kinds of tax breaks if they hire. He is just another one of these people who
take no responsibility but blame everything on someone else.

THE MORON SQUAD
The GOP moron squad is at work again. Rick Perry the great conservative dope, oh
sorry, I meant hope who is sinking faster than the setting sun has put out a
couple of brilliant statements. He wants
to debate Nancy Pelosi the minority leader in the House of Representatives. I didn’t know she was running for the GOP’s
Presidential nomination. He also said
President Obama’s life has been too easy.
What that has to do with anything even if it was true. Your guess is as good as mine.
Herman Cain another one of the stooges, I would have said 3
stooges, but there seems to be more than that in the GOP at this moment. Mr. Cain says so many stupid things it’s hard
to pick one. I will just say this man
shouldn’t be involved in politics. The
man is politically stupid. He tries to
spin this as an asset. Like what this country needs is a person running it who absolutely
knows nothing.
Newt Gingrich the one time darling and now again sweetheart of
the GOP said he was paid about $1,800,000 dollars because he offered a
historical perspective to Fannie Mae. If
Republicans buy this there really is no hope for those people. How anyone could
believe that a financial institution would pay someone with no special insight
other than that he could lobby his Republican colleagues is beyond me. As most
people know Newt speaks out of both sides of his mouth all the time. Newt said the individual mandate concerning
health care reform is fundamentally wrong and unconstitutional. His own center for health transformation
states a mandate is a key element of reform for health care. He thinks he can say and do anything and the
people of his own party are stupid enough to fall for it.

RECALL WALKER
The recall petition for Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin started
today. I am looking forward to signing
that petition this weekend. Walker must be worried because last night during
the Green bay Packers football game he ran ads touting his administration and
asking the public not to sign the petition.
The apologists for the Governor have been saying he is the best thing
that has happened to the state. They
offer no proof. Anyone who has been
paying attention knows there is a coordinated effort between the Republicans to
take away labors rights and suppress voters in the upcoming elections. Some of these things have failed in Ohio, and
now it’s time to get Walker out of office and take back our state.

JIM DEMINT
To all Americans who have fought for the last ten years in
Iraq and Afghanistan the Government is trying to help you get jobs in today’s
tough economic times. They are offering
tax credits to businesses to hire a veteran.
One so called American is Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina voted
against it because he doesn’t think anyone should be favored over another
person in getting a job. The problem
with this idiot’s logic is that these Americans have served this country in a
time of war. They did not have the
opportunities that other people have had to get good jobs. They put the country first, and their own
lives second. They are true Americans
unlike this clown who thinks his own personal ideology should take precedence over
these men and women who risked their lives for him. One of the greatest programs this
country has ever had is the GI bill
enacted after World War 11. This is a
program that made this country so much better.
I don’t know if Senator DeMint has served in the Armed Forces, I truly
doubt it. If he had I don’t think he
would talk so stupid. I think it is time for the people of South Carolina to
get rid of this idiot.

VICTORY?
Finally! Labor has
finally stopped the union hating or should I say workers in general haters the
totally own by the Koch brothers GOP.
The Governor of Ohio’s anti-labor law went down to defeat last night by
a comfortable margin. Hopefully this
will help the people in Wisconsin who are going to try and recall their slime
ball Governor Scott Walker. My hope is
that the people will see that it’s possible. Going back to Ohio’s successful
defeat of a bill is a very good system.
This is what Government of the people by the people means. Every state should have a law like this so
when a legislature and a Governor do things that the people don’t want they have
an option to stop it. Labor and everyone
who is being affected by these totally unethical slime balls should double down
and make sure they get out and vote in any election instead of sitting back and
thinking that all politicians are the same.
They aren’t and they found out the hard way.

REPUBLICAN VALUES?
Now that a real person has come forward to accuse Herman
Cain of sexual harassment I am going to be really interested if the Republican
primary voters are still going to stick with him. Republicans in general have a hard time with
their morals and ethics. They profess one thing and do another. Take for example all the Republicans who
preach marital values then get caught cheating, or the Republicans who are always preaching against the gay
lifestyle, and then you come to find that they are involved with male
prostitutes or are caught soliciting sex in restrooms. I know what the Republicans will say.
Democrats do the same thing. That’s true. The difference is that Democrats don’t tell
you how to lead your life. That has
always been my problem with family values Republicans or anything of the
sort. Everyone makes mistakes. Not
everyone tells you how to lead your life while doing everything they tell you
not to do. To my point is the new law in
Michigan ostensibly an anti-bullying law.
The only problem is the Republicans managed to put in a line where it
makes it okay to bully if it’s based on your religious beliefs. As I have been
saying for a long time Republicans in general have major ethical problems and
really don’t care about people. Their
whole being is involved in protecting the businesses and the rich.

JOE WALSH
Joe Walsh the Republican congressman from Illinois was
recently named a "True
Blue" member of Congress for his "unwavering commitment and
consistent support in defense of life and the family." This honor was
bestowed on the esteemed congressman by the Family Research Council. The only problem with this award to this
scumbag is that he allegedly owes his ex-wife and 3 children $117,000 dollars
in back child support. Of course this dirt
bag has an explanation for that. He really has paid up, but he has no proof. Or
the other explanation is that his wife agreed that he didn’t have to pay. “Walsh also rejected the congressional health insurance plan for his family on principle, much to the chagrin of his current wife, Helene, who had a preexisting condition and needed surgery while the couple was uninsured.” So much for family values.
This award and
the guy they gave it to shows how these right wing goofs think. Do anything you
want it doesn’t really matter as long as you vote the right way as to their way
of thinking. Basically what you have in
Joe Walsh is a street whore who sells himself to the highest bidder.

JOHN MCCAIN
John McCain former Presidential Candidate and current
Republican Senator from Arizona was on a radio sports talk show this
morning. He was there to talk about human
growth hormone use in the National Football League. In the conversation the host Dan Patrick
asked him if he had a do over to pick a Vice Presidential running mate would
he? For those who don’t know he chose
Sarah Palin. He basically said no, he thought
she did a good job. He then went on to
say he was so proud of running for President and being 5th from the
bottom in his class at the Naval Academy.
This is the way the Republicans think now. They want to celebrate mediocrity and down
play intelligence. Finally he said it’s
hard doing God’s work in the city of Satan.
I don’t know if he was joking or not, but these guys are nuts.

THE GOP IN TURMOIL
Over the past few days there has been several things going
on with the GOP. Rick Perry gave a very
strange speech the other day kind of rambling and goofy. I guess by his standards that would be a
normal speech since he is goofy to begin with.
Herman Cain the non-candidate candidate got himself caught
up in a sexual harassment conversation concerning his time at The National Restaurant Association. First he said it
was nothing and he didn’t know anything about what happened because he recused
himself. A couple hours later he
acknowledged that he knew there was a payoff to keep the women quiet. The money
for a non-disclosure agreement seems like a fair deal if you are guilty.
Mitt Romney has
been implicated in the Stanford Financial Group Ponzi scheme. I have no idea if
this is true. A web site with ties to the scheme has mysteriously deleted any
people with ties to Romney including his son.
Michelle
Bachmann. Forget it she really doesn’t
matter and has never said anything worth wild.
I guess I have to put the rest of the bunch into that category. Who
cares?
